TUL8TE - GQ November Cover

Reimagining TUL8TE as the star of GQ MENA's November cover.

TUL8TE's music carries a strong sense of nostalgia. There is something inherently retro in the way his music feels, drawing from an era of larger than life stars, cinematic characters, and music that came with its own mythology.

But there was a gap: the visual identity surrounding TUL8TE wasn't fully expressing the world his music was creating.

For his GQ MENA November cover, we saw an opportunity to close that gap and build a character that looked and felt like the music.

Challenge

TUL8TE's identity is built around mystery and transformation. He is a pop star, but his masked persona already creates a distance between the artist and the character. That gave us room to push his image further into something more cinematic and timeless.

The challenge was to avoid simply making him look "vintage." We needed to capture the aura of the old stars that his music reminded us of. The kind of stars whose presence alone could carry an entire photograph.

Insight

We looked at characters and cultural icons who possessed that larger than life quality. From Elvis Presley to Marlon Brando to Tony Montana, the references were about understanding their presence. These were characters who felt powerful even when they were doing nothing. That became the direction for TUL8TE.

Instead of photographing him as a contemporary pop artist, we wanted to photograph him as a star who could have existed decades ago.

Execution

We started with the location, we found an old villa that already carried the right atmosphere and transformed it into a world somewhere between a vintage celebrity home and a cinematic mafia residence.

Dark interiors, aged architecture, rich textures, and a moody atmosphere gave the space the feeling of an old editorial archive. The villa became TUL8TE's world.

We then styled him around the same character language, selecting pieces that felt connected to the era without turning the shoot into a costume recreation. The objective was to make every element feel effortless, as though TUL8TE naturally belonged in this world.

Result

For the GQ MENA November cover, we brought TUL8TE's visual identity closer to the emotional world of his music. The result was an attempt to give TUL8TE the same kind of cultural weight and cinematic presence that made those characters unforgettable.
